The Down East Coconut Company... Who Are We?...
The Down East Coconut Company came about through discussions between Chef Kevin Wagner and Tan Nguyen, owner of the Crystal Coconut Company of Toronto, Canada.
As a chef/instructor, Chef Kevin offered to assist Crytal Coco with recipes and customer support. In discussing the idea further however, Mr. Nguyen and Chef Kevin came to realize that there was more to it than meets the eye, and became partners/friends in the venture. What originally started as a simple offer of assistance developed into the distributorship of Crystal Coco's products to all four provinces of Atlantic Canada.
The Down East Coconut Company will be the Atlantic Canadian distribution center for all products produced by Crystal Coco (in addition to other natural food items), and will service Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. This will reduce shipping costs to the customers in Atlantic Canada because of our central location in the Maritime provinces.
The Down East Coconut Company is based in sleepy little Bear River, NS, which is located between Digby and Annapolis Royal. The business is a partnership owned and operated by Chef Kevin Wagner and wife Gwen, and is the most personal & friendly company you will ever find.
Chef Kevin has become very well known, both locally and globally via his other business "Cooking Solutions", and through his website/blog at www.cooking-solutions.com where personalized service has become his trademark. Gwen has also spent years in the hospitality business as well, and does whatever it takes to insure customer satisfaction. The Down East Coconut Company will operate by the same high standards of customer service and satisfaction that Kevin & Gwen bring to everything else they do.
